Listener Questions

1. I need tips for making healthy eating more affordable. I love to shop at Whole Foods, but find that I spend close to $200 each week, which is too much! I also order monthly from Thrive Market at a cost of between $60-$80. I try to buy mostly organic produce, but are there foods that do not have to be organic? This is something I have really been struggling with and would love tips from all three of you!! Thank you. (15:48)

The Environmental Working Group publishes a new list every year of the "Clean Fifteen" and "Dirty Dozen" fruits and veggies. (16:32)

We made a graphic just for you - print it out and carry it with you to the grocery store for easy shopping!

We mentioned a couple recipes we've shared recently: Homemade Almond Milk Energy Bites (or Balls)

2. I buy a lot of meat, which is a HUGE expense to buy organic, grass fed - are there cheaper alternatives that are still good for me? (30:55)

Kate mentions The Paleo Mom's blog post called "I Can't Always Afford Grassfed Beef - What Should I Buy?".
