IN THIS EPISODE: Welcome to The Ladies Dish Podcast!

Catching Up: (00:58) Kate's bday is coming up in March - what should we do to celebrate?! British accents and a cup of tea are certainly a must.

Review of the Week (2:12): We were called “The Greatest Podcast on Earth” in our latest review from Alnuts11 – thanks, friend! Oh my gosh – what a compliment! We can just go ahead and check that right off the bucket list. We have taken over the world.

Get to Know the Ladies - Question of the Week (3:39): What is your spirit animal? You have to listen to get all the details, but here's a sneak peek. Do you think there's a resemblance?!

What’s Cooking? (9:46):

Dana mentioned this last week so we had to make sure it was on our list to share. Here is her version of the 21DSD shepherds pie – recipe here!

Listener Questions (11:24)

1. I know that flax and chia seeds are good for me, so I try to sprinkle them in where I can in my diet (in smoothies, oatmeal, granola, mixed with PB, okay…and cookies, too lol). Does it matter if I’m eating them whole? Or should they be ground for maximum benefit? Thanks!

Chia seeds and flax seeds both have essential fatty acids in them which are…well, ESSENTIAL to the body! Check our our episode all about fats to learn more!

Don’t forget we shared a recipe for Chia Seed Pudding on a previous episode! Joy suggests dumping all the ingredients in a mason jar, cap it off and shake it up. Then you can pop it in the fridge til the morning! Get the recipe here.

2. As I look up recipes and information on food, I often run across “trendy” terms such as superfood, detox, fat-burning, etc. What makes a food a “superfood”, a “detox” food, or a “fat-burning” food? What types of foods might be superfoods, detox foods or fat-burning foods?
