[RECIPE] B3 Bowl + The 21-Day Sugar Detox Daily Guide

The 21-Day Sugar Detox is my favorite group nutrition program, not only to run as a coach but also to complete as a participant. It was one of the books I purchased at the beginning of my "real-food" journey that completed changed my life. Read more about that story here.

The 21-Day Sugar Detox Daily Guide

At the beginning of 2018, The 21-Day Sugar Detox Daily Guide was released as an additional resource for participants completing the program and it is awesome! I am blown away with how much content is packed into such a "small" book. This will be an excellent complete resource for participants.

Not only does this book contain 75 recipes (many are brand-new) and a done-for-you meal plan, but there are updated yes/no lists and program guidelines, how to build a 21DSD plate plus other guides, daily lessons, daily messages from Diane, and a journal to track your experience.

If you are thinking about completing the program, I cannot recommend this book enough... and a coach of course! ;)

Here's a little sneak peek recipe of the deliciousness inside the pages. This B3 Bowl is truly SO EASY to make (especially once you have the spice blend made) and is really tasty! You will NOT miss pasta in this bowl!

B3 Bowl from The 21-Day Sugar Detox Daily Guide

PREP TIME: 5 minutes, plus 40 minutes to make the broccoli

COOK TIME: 10 to 15 minutes

MAKES 2 servings

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cooking fat

1 tablespoon Italian Spice Blend (recipe below)

1/2 pound ground beef

1/2 pound ground pork

1 (24-ounce) jar sugar-free pasta sauce of choice

sea salt and ground black pepper

1 batch Crispy Broccoli (recipe below)

Fresh basil leaves, for topping (optional)

Grated cheese of choice, for topping (optional; Levels 1 & 2 only)

Directions

In a large skillet, melt the cooking fat over medium-high heat.

Season the beef and pork with the spice blend, then add the meat to the pan and cook until browned through, approximately 5 to 8 minutes.

Once the meat is done, add the pasta sauce and simmer over medium-low heat until the sauce is heated though, 5 to 10 minutes, stirring to combine.

Add salt and pepper to taste, then remove the pan from the heat.

Dived the crispy broccoli between two plates and ladle equal portions of the meat sauce over it. Garnish with fresh basil and grated cheese, if desired.

Change it up!

Try this served over Roasted Garlic Cauliflower Polenta or Basic Cilantro Cauli-Rice (both available in The 21-Day Sugar Detox Daily Guide).
